  • You pay for traffic, not for a tier. There is one price list and a $1 monthly minimum. Every feature is included at every level of spend rather than gated behind an enterprise plan.
  • Region-based CDN pricing. Europe and North America are $0.01/GB. South America is $0.045, Asia and Oceania $0.03, the Middle East and Africa $0.06 — so where your audience is changes the bill.
  • A cheaper network for heavy projects. The Volume network trades 119 points of presence for 10 and charges one global rate: $0.005/GB for the first 500 TB, falling to $0.002/GB between 1 and 2 PB.
  • Not for Squarespace sites. Squarespace serves its own assets from its own network. This is for sites whose origin and DNS you control.

What bunny.net actually is

A content delivery network caches your site's files on servers near your visitors, so an image requested from Sydney is served from Sydney rather than from wherever your server happens to live. bunny.net sells that, plus the things that usually get bought alongside it — object storage, video hosting and encoding, image optimisation, DNS — as separate metered products on a single account.

What makes it worth listing is the pricing shape rather than the technology. Most of this market sells plans: you pick a tier, features unlock as you climb, and the enterprise tier is a phone call. bunny.net publishes one price list, meters what you use, applies a $1 monthly minimum, and includes every feature at every level of spend.

This is not a Squarespace product. Squarespace serves your site from its own infrastructure, and there is no origin for a CDN to sit in front of. It is listed for the self-hosted side of the catalogue — WordPress in particular, where bunny.net publish an official plugin.

Priced by the gigabyte, and by where

CDN bandwidth on the standard 119-point network is priced by region, because delivering a gigabyte in Lagos genuinely costs more than delivering one in Frankfurt. That is unusual to see stated openly rather than averaged into a flat rate.

How it goes on

Pull zone, then DNS

  1. Create a pull zone

    Point it at your existing server. bunny.net fetches from your origin the first time a file is asked for and caches it afterwards.

  2. Choose the network

    Standard for reach, Volume for cost. This is the decision that most affects both the bill and the latency.

  3. Send traffic to it

    Either rewrite the asset URLs your site emits, or point a CNAME at the zone. On WordPress their plugin does this for you.

  4. Watch the first month

    Usage billing is only cheap if you know your usage. The first invoice is the one that tells you whether the estimate was right.

Will this work with my Squarespace site?

No, and that is worth saying plainly on a marketplace that is mostly Squarespace. Squarespace hosts your site and delivers it from its own network, so there is no origin server for bunny.net to sit in front of and nothing for you to configure.

This listing is here for the self-hosted work — WordPress, custom applications, anything where you control the server and the DNS.

What does it actually cost?

There is a $1 monthly minimum and every feature is included at every level of spend. CDN bandwidth on the standard network is $0.01/GB in Europe and North America, $0.03 in Asia and Oceania, $0.045 in South America and $0.06 in the Middle East and Africa. The Volume network charges one global rate: $0.005/GB for the first 500 TB, $0.004 to 1 PB, $0.002 to 2 PB, and a conversation beyond that.

Why are there two networks?

The standard network has 119 points of presence and is priced by region. The Volume network has 10 and charges one low global rate. You are trading proximity for cost — sensible for large file downloads, less so for a latency-sensitive site with a worldwide audience.

Is storage included in the CDN price?

No. Storage, Stream, Optimizer and DNS are metered separately from CDN bandwidth. A video project pays for storage, for encoding and delivery through Stream, and for the bandwidth — the $1 minimum is a floor on the account, not a bundle.

Is there a WordPress plugin?

Yes — bunny.net publish an official CDN plugin on wordpress.org. It handles the pull zone and rewrites the asset URLs your site emits, which is the part that is otherwise fiddly.

What happens if my traffic spikes?

The bill goes up. Usage pricing has no floor beyond the $1 minimum and no ceiling by default, so an unexpected month of traffic is an unexpected invoice. If a predictable bill matters more to you than a cheap one, a flat-rate plan elsewhere may suit you better.

How does it compare on price?

bunny.net publish their own comparison, which puts a sample workload at $50 on bunny.net against $125 on CacheFly, $165 on CDN77, $220 on BytePlus, $425 or more on CloudFront and $600 or more on Fastly. It is a vendor's own table, so treat it as their claim rather than an independent benchmark — but the per-GB rates above are checkable directly.

Who runs it?

BunnyWay d.o.o., based in Slovenia. That matters for data residency questions and for which legal regime your contract sits under.
