Seller Submission Terms
Last updated · Version 2026-08-27
What this covers, in short: submitting a product asks us to consider it. It does not oblige us to publish it, and no payment of any kind can change a verification result or a ranking. The detail is below.
1 What these terms are
These terms apply when you submit a product to Squarespell for consideration. They cover the submission itself and what we may do with what you send us. They are not a marketplace agreement: Squarespell does not currently sell your product on your behalf.
By ticking the box on the application form you are agreeing to the version of these terms identified at the top of this page. That version number is recorded with your application, so it stays clear which wording you actually accepted.
2 Who may submit
- You must be the owner of the product, or someone authorised to act for the owner.
- You must be able to enter into an agreement in your own jurisdiction.
- If you are submitting on behalf of a company, you are confirming you have authority to do so.
3 What you are telling us is true
Everything you put in the form should be accurate and reasonably complete at the time you send it. That includes the product description, the pricing model, the platform it works with, and the state of its documentation and support.
If something material changes after you submit, the product is discontinued, the price model changes, support ends, tell us. A listing that has quietly gone stale is worse for your customers than no listing at all.
4 Ownership and rights
You confirm that you own the product and the materials you send, or that you have the rights needed to send them to us for this purpose, and that neither the product nor the materials infringe anybody else's rights.
The licence you are granting
So that we can actually review and list the product, you grant Squarespell a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, royalty-free licence to use the product name, description, logo, screenshots, demo materials and other assets you supply, for the purposes of reviewing the submission, publishing and maintaining a listing, and promoting that listing on Squarespell and its own channels.
What this is not
- Nothing here transfers ownership of your product, your brand or your materials to Squarespell. They remain yours.
- You can withdraw the licence by asking us to remove the listing. We will do so, subject to the record-keeping described below.
5 Review, and what we do not promise
Every application is read by a person. We decide what to list on the basis of relevance, quality, evidence and usefulness to the people who read Squarespell.
We may accept a submission, reject it, ask for more information, edit or correct a listing for accuracy or house style, or unpublish and remove a listing at any time.
Not promised
- That your product will be published.
- That it will be tested or verified.
- That it will be recommended, or placed in any particular position.
- Any level of traffic, clicks, leads, enquiries, rankings or sales.
Applying is a request for consideration, and nothing more than that.
6 Editorial independence, and what money can and cannot buy
This is the part we will not move on, so it is worth being exact about it.
| Relationship | What it is | What it cannot do |
|---|---|---|
| Editorial listing | A free listing, decided on merit | – |
| Affiliate link | An approved tracked link or code, labelled on the page | Change rank, verdict or verification |
| Sponsored Launch | A time-limited, clearly labelled campaign, shown separately from recommendations | Change rank, verdict or verification |
| Featured Creator | Enhanced profile visibility for approved creators, labelled | Change rank, verdict or verification |
Paid placements are clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial rankings. Payment never changes verification, test results or recommendations.
This is enforced in the software, not only in policy: the code that calculates a recommendation cannot read commission data at all, and an automated test proves it on every run.
Affiliate and paid arrangements are separate agreements
- An affiliate link or code requires an approved relationship, and both of us must comply with the relevant affiliate programme's own terms.
- A Sponsored Launch or Featured Creator campaign requires separate written commercial terms. Submitting this form does not buy a placement, reserve one, or oblige either of us to enter into one.
7 Selling and payouts
Squarespell does not currently offer native seller checkout, and does not collect payment from your customers on your behalf or make payouts to you. Buyers reach you through a link to your own site, and the transaction is between you and them.
If direct selling is offered in future it will be under a separate agreement that you would need to enter into deliberately. These terms do not create one.
8 What remains your responsibility
Listing a product on Squarespell does not make us a party to your relationship with your customers. You remain responsible for:
- The product working as you describe it, and being lawful where you sell it.
- Your own licensing, pricing, terms, refunds and consumer-law obligations.
- Support, updates and security fixes for your own product.
- Any claim you make about the product, on your site or in what you send us.
- Your own site's privacy and cookie practices once a visitor follows a link to it.
9 What we will not accept
- Copied, pirated, cracked or unlicensed work, or anything that infringes another person's rights.
- Malware, or anything that behaves in a way a reasonable buyer would not expect.
- Deceptive claims, fabricated testimonials or fake reviews.
- Products that are abandoned or unsupported but presented as current.
- Anything unlawful, or anything that would breach a platform's or an affiliate programme's own terms.
We may reject or remove a submission on these grounds without notice, and we may decline future submissions from the same source.
10 Corrections, changes and takedown
To correct a published listing, tell us about a material change, or ask for a listing to be taken down, write to info@squarespell.com.
We act on takedown requests from the product owner or their authorised representative. Removing a listing removes it from the site; it does not erase our record that the submission was made and on what terms, which we keep for the reasons set out in the Privacy Policy.
11 Records we keep
What we store about a submission, how long we keep it and how to make a request about it are all described in the Privacy Policy.
12 Warranties and liability
Squarespell provides the listing and the site as they are. We do not warrant that a listing will be free of errors, that the site will be uninterrupted, or that any particular commercial outcome will follow from being listed.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to that, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of a submission or a listing.
Governing law and venue are not stated here. The operating entity and its jurisdiction have not been confirmed to us, and naming a jurisdiction we cannot verify would be worse than naming none. This will be completed before launch.
13 Changes to these terms
These terms carry a version identifier and a date, both shown at the top of this page. When they change materially, the version changes with them.
The version recorded against your application is the one you accepted, and that is the version that governs that submission. A later change does not apply retrospectively to an application already made.
14 Questions
For anything about these terms, or to withdraw a submission, write to info@squarespell.com.
This page describes how the site actually behaves today. It is an operational document, not legal advice, and it should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch.
