Brevo: Email, SMS and CRM on One Platform

A marketing and CRM platform covering email, SMS, WhatsApp, chat and transactional messaging, with a permanently free tier and paid plans priced by how many contacts you hold.

  • Free forever, and genuinely usable. No credit card, and up to 300 emails a day once Brevo approve your account for sending — enough to run a small list properly rather than as a demo.
  • Priced by contacts, not by sends. The plan ladder starts at $9 a month and climbs with how many contacts you hold, which is the opposite of the per-email model most alternatives use.
  • Email is only part of it. SMS, WhatsApp, push, live chat, a sales CRM and transactional email all sit in the same account.
  • An official WordPress plugin. Brevo publish one on wordpress.org, so forms, tracking and sending are wired up without touching a snippet.

Overview

One account instead of four subscriptions

A small business that markets by email usually ends up with a stack: one tool for campaigns, another for the contact form, a third for live chat, and a transactional service for the receipts and password resets that must never land in spam. Each is a subscription and each holds a different slice of the same customer list.

Brevo — the company formerly called Sendinblue — is the consolidation argument. Email and SMS campaigns, WhatsApp, push, automation, a sales CRM, live chat and transactional messaging all sit in one account against one contact database.

This is one listing rather than several because Brevo sell one product. The CRM and Email Marketing pages are landing pages for the same platform — Brevo's own affiliate programme names all three of its links "Brevo Marketing Platform" — and Sales Essentials is a package added to a plan inside the same checkout, not a separate purchase.

What it costs

The ladder starts low and moves with your list

Brevo price by how many contacts you hold rather than per seat or per send. That makes the entry prices genuinely low and makes the headline figure less meaningful than usual — the number below is the bottom of each plan's range.

Plan From (monthly) From (annual) For
Free $0 $0 300 emails a day, no card needed
Starter $9 $96.96/yr Single users on email and multi-channel
Standard $18 $194.04/yr Automation, A/B testing, advanced reporting
Professional $499 $5,388.96/yr Teams needing the full platform
Enterprise Custom Custom Large organisations

Entry prices in USD from Brevo's own published pricing data, read 31 August 2026. Each plan rises with contact volume.

Two things the table cannot show. SMS credits are bought separately from the plan, so an SMS campaign is a second bill. And the gap between Standard at $18 and Professional at $499 is not a gentle upgrade — check which side of it your requirements fall on.

The free tier

Free forever, with a daily ceiling

Brevo's free plan is not a trial. It has no time limit, needs no credit card, and allows up to 300 emails a day once your account is approved for sending — which is a real constraint on campaign size but perfectly workable for a list in the hundreds.

  • No credit card at signup, and no expiry on the free tier.
  • Up to 300 emails per day after Brevo approve the account for sending.
  • Brevo branding appears on emails until you move to a paid plan.
  • Contacts are not capped the way sends are — the free tier limits throughput, not list size.
  • Approval before sending is a deliverability measure, and it means signup and first campaign are not the same afternoon.

Everything else about Brevo

For anything about your own account or contact volume, ask Brevo — their pricing page

Is the free plan really free?

Yes. Brevo describe it as free forever with no credit card needed, and it allows up to 300 emails a day once they have approved your account for sending.

The catch is throughput and branding rather than time: 300 a day caps how large a single campaign can be, and Brevo's branding stays on your emails until you pay.

What do the paid plans cost?

From Brevo's own published pricing data in US dollars: Starter from $9 a month or $96.96 a year, Standard from $18 or $194.04, Professional from $499 or $5,388.96, and Enterprise on request. Each is a starting point — the price rises with how many contacts you hold.

Why is the price a range rather than a number?

Because Brevo bill by contact volume. A plan at 500 contacts and the same plan at 50,000 contacts are different prices, so quoting a single figure would be misleading. Use their pricing calculator with your own contact count.

Is this the same thing as Sendinblue?

Yes. Sendinblue rebranded to Brevo. If you have older bookmarks, documentation or tutorials under the Sendinblue name, they refer to this product.

Does it work with WordPress?

Yes — Brevo publish an official plugin on wordpress.org covering email, SMS, web push and chat, which handles forms, tracking and sending without a manual snippet. On other platforms the same functions go in as embeds.

Are SMS messages included in the plan?

No. Brevo state that SMS credits are sold separately. The subscription buys the platform; SMS is a usage-based charge on top.

Do I get a CRM as well?

Brevo include a sales side, offered as the Sales Essentials package alongside a marketing plan in the same checkout. It is part of the same platform rather than a separate product to buy — which is why this listing covers the whole thing rather than splitting into a marketing listing and a CRM listing.

What happens if I change my mind?

Brevo state that you can cancel your plan at any time. As with any hosted sender, the campaigns, contacts and automation live in their account, so export what you need before closing it.

Has Squarespell used it?

Not for production campaigns. Everything on this page comes from Brevo's own pricing page and the structured pricing data they publish with it, and this listing carries no verdict on deliverability.

Does Squarespell earn anything if I sign up?

Yes — this listing links through a PartnerStack referral URL, disclosed on the button. Commission cannot influence where Brevo ranks: the recommendation score cannot read any commercial field, and a test enforces it.
