The Squarespell Hamburger Mega Menu is a completely different product. When a visitor clicks the hamburger icon on your Squarespace 7.1 site, a premium fullscreen overlay opens animated, image-rich, and structured. Three columns fill the screen:
Left Column Navigation
Your existing pages and folders appear as animated items with icons, subtitles, and a staggered entrance animation. The currently active page is highlighted automatically.
Center Column Content.
Folders become image card grids photos automatically fetched from your linked pages, numbered, with hover animations. Blog pages show your latest posts with thumbnails and dates. Shop pages show your latest products with images and prices.
Right Column Aside.
A featured latest blog post card, a featured latest shop product card, and a Quick Access list of the pages your visitors need most.
At the bottom a custom scrolling ticker. Edit the text to match your brand messages, promotions, or values.
How it's different from Other Hamburger Menu:
Plugin requires you to create a Not Linked page in Squarespace and build your menu content inside it using blocks. You add image blocks manually. You set CSS variables for colors. You maintain this page separately from your actual navigation. It is a framework you design not a plugin that designs itself.

No. The installation is two copy-paste steps: paste the Header code into the Header box in Code Injection, paste the Footer code into the Footer box. Save. The hamburger menu is live immediately. Most customers are done in under 2 minutes.

Yes this is unique to the Squarespell plugin. It reads your Squarespace CSS variables at load time and automatically detects your background color, text color, heading fonts, and body fonts. The overlay adapts instantly. Dark site gets dark overlay. Orange site gets an orange-tinted overlay. You never touch a CSS variable.

The plugin fetches them automatically from your Squarespace pages using the Squarespace API. When a folder in your navigation is opened, the plugin retrieves the hero image from each linked page and displays it as a card. No manual image selection or upload required.

Other plugin requires you to create a separate Not-Linked page in Squarespace and build the menu content using Squarespace blocks. Yes. On mobile devices, the overlay opens as a fullscreen accordion menu. Folders expand with animated image card grids. All navigation links, your logo, social icons, and the CTA button are included. It is fully tested on iOS Safari and Android Chrome.

The ticker is a horizontal scrolling bar at the bottom of the fullscreen overlay. It displays short text messages promotions, brand values, announcements. The text is fully editable inside the Header code block. Default text is provided to get you started.
