The format

Paced like a magazine, not a catalogue.

Positano is the editorial one: sun-bleached, unhurried, and built to lead with lifestyle photography rather than a wall of product tiles.

This is the theme that most depends on what you bring to it. A magazine-paced layout with weak photography looks empty rather than considered, so if your imagery is product-on-white this is the wrong choice. Given real lifestyle shots — resort wear, swim, homeware, anything with a place attached to it — it does something the tighter themes in the range cannot, and it still ends at a checkout rather than wandering.

Studio Mayde note that the imagery in the preview is for layout reference and is not included with the theme.

The imagery in the preview is not included. Studio Mayde say so on the product page, and a theme this dependent on photography will not look like the demo until you have your own.
One store per licence. A second store — including a client's — needs a second purchase, and a transfer is only allowed once the original store has been closed.

About Positano

How is Positano delivered?

By email, usually within five minutes of checkout — a download link for the theme file, which you upload into your own Shopify dashboard. If it has not arrived, Studio Mayde ask you to check junk mail first and then email them with the order number.

Can I use it on more than one store?

No. One purchase covers one store. You can move a licence to a different store only after closing the original one, and you have to tell Studio Mayde so they can transfer it.

Do I still need a Shopify subscription?

Yes. The theme is a file for a Shopify store you already pay Shopify for. The $70 buys the design, not the platform, hosting or a domain.

How much can I change?

Studio Mayde describe the themes as fully customisable: text and text styles, colours, images, and rearranging the layout using the theme sections. It is done in Shopify's own theme editor, so no code is required.

Can I add apps to it?

Yes. Studio Mayde state the themes are built to work with apps from the Shopify App Store, so reviews, subscriptions, upsells and the rest can be added on top.

Is there a refund if it is not right?

No. Studio Mayde state there are no returns, exchanges or cancellations on digital templates. That is standard for a downloadable file, and it is the reason to spend time in the demo store first.

What support and updates come with it?

Free technical support and free theme updates for as long as the licence is valid, with no subscription. Support is weekdays; for weekend issues they ask you to mark the email "Urgent".
