Do I need to know how to code to install this hamburger menu plugin?

No. The installation is two copy-paste steps: paste the Header code into the Header box in Code Injection, paste the Footer code into the Footer box. Save. The hamburger menu is live immediately. Most customers are done in under 2 minutes.

Does the hamburger menu automatically match my Squarespace site colors?

Yes this is unique to the Squarespell plugin. It reads your Squarespace CSS variables at load time and automatically detects your background color, text color, heading fonts, and body fonts. The overlay adapts instantly. Dark site gets dark overlay. Orange site gets an orange-tinted overlay. You never touch a CSS variable.

Where do the images in the menu come from?

The plugin fetches them automatically from your Squarespace pages using the Squarespace API. When a folder in your navigation is opened, the plugin retrieves the hero image from each linked page and displays it as a card. No manual image selection or upload required.

How is this different from Other Mega Hamburger Menu?

Other plugin requires you to create a separate Not-Linked page in Squarespace and build the menu content using Squarespace blocks. You add images manually, set CSS color variables, and maintain this page separately from your navigation. Squarespell reads your actual existing navigation and content automatically there is nothing to design or maintain. It also costs $5 less ($20 vs $25).

Yes. On mobile devices, the overlay opens as a fullscreen accordion menu. Folders expand with animated image card grids. All navigation links, your logo, social icons, and the CTA button are included. It is fully tested on iOS Safari and Android Chrome.

What is the scrolling ticker at the bottom of the overlay?

The ticker is a horizontal scrolling bar at the bottom of the fullscreen overlay. It displays short text messages promotions, brand values, announcements. The text is fully editable inside the Header code block. Default text is provided to get you started.

What Squarespace plan do I need?

Business plan or higher, which is required for Code Injection access. The plugin does not work on Personal (Basic) plans.
