  • Build your own Age verification plugin Managing our free editor, set up a plugin with a preferable layout and functions.
  • Copy the personal code to add the plugin After you have set up your widget, you will receive your personal code from the appearing notification on Elfsight Apps. Copy this code.
  • Integrate the plugin on your Squarespace website Find the area you need to place the plugin to and insert the saved code there. Publish the results.
  • Done! Enter your website, to check your plugin.

Is Age Verification compatible with Squarespace 7.0 and 7.1?

Elfsight works on all Squarespace versions, including classic 7.0 and the latest 7.1 with Fluid Engine, and it integrates smoothly with any template.

Which Squarespace plans support adding the Age verification plugin?

You’ll need a plan that allows custom code. Squarespace’s Business or higher plans are required for embedding JavaScript widgets – Personal/Basic plans don’t support code blocks or header/footer injections for scripts.

What age verification methods are available?

Elfsight supports yes/no buttons, full date-of-birth, or year-of-birth checks to validate visitor age before content on your Squarespace page loads.

Can I set a custom minimum age?

The Age Verification plugin lets you set any numeric age threshold so your website can comply with alcohol, tobacco, or adult-content regulations.

Does Age Verification remember returning visitors?

The plugin can remember visitors for a set number of days so users who pass the age check do not see the popup repeatedly on your Squarespace website.

Does Age Verification support full-site overlay behavior?

Elfsight can display as a full overlay splash screen that hides all page content until a valid age response is submitted.

Is it possible to localize the text fields?

All text fields in the plugin are editable, so you can translate messages and buttons into any supported website language.

Does the Age Verification store or process personal data?

Elfsight evaluates age input in the browser and does not create user accounts or store personal identity data server-side.

What happens if a user fails the age check?

With Elfsight, underage users can be blocked, shown a custom message, or redirected, depending on your configured scenario.

Can I show Age Verification only once per visitor?

Display frequency depends on the Remember Visitor setting – for example, if set to 10 days, the popup will reappear to the same visitor after 10 days.
