Expert Listing Standards

1 What a listed expert has to be

Every visible profile has been through a manual review. The provider is a real, identifiable person or business; the website is theirs; the work shown is theirs; the platforms and services listed are ones they genuinely work with; and the contact route we publish actually reaches them.

• Identity or business verified.
• Official website verified as theirs.
• Portfolio ownership checked.
• At least three relevant project examples seen, where they can be shared.
• Platform experience evidenced rather than asserted.
• Services accurately represented.
• Contact method confirmed working.
• No misleading or unsupportable claims.
• Any commercial relationship with Squarespell recorded and disclosed.

2 What we do not publish

We do not publish star ratings for experts. We have no reliable body of reviews for them, and a rating built on a handful of impressions would be worse than no rating at all.

We do not publish invented project counts, invented response times, or credentials we have not seen. A field we could not verify is left out of the profile rather than filled with something plausible.

We also do not describe anyone as "certified", a "certified expert", or an "official partner". Those words describe a programme with an examination and a contract behind it. This is a manual review of public evidence, and it is described in exactly those terms.

3 Commercial disclosure

Where Squarespell has any commercial relationship with a listed expert, commission, partnership or paid placement, that is recorded against the profile and shown wherever the expert appears, on the card and on the profile.

The relationship is not readable by the function that orders the directory. Disclosure and ranking are deliberately separate systems.

4 Reporting a problem, and getting a profile corrected

If a profile is wrong, an out-of-date service list, work that is not theirs, a contact route that no longer reaches anybody, or a claim you believe is false, tell us and we will look at it.

Listed experts can ask for a correction at any time. Anyone else can report a profile, and we will check the claim against the same evidence standard we used to list it.

• A correction we can verify is applied and the review date is updated.
• A claim we cannot resolve leads to the profile being suspended while we look into it, not left up while we decide.
• A profile whose review has lapsed keeps its page but loses its badge until the review is repeated.
